Keith Fullerton hails from Glengormley, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. He received his education at Belfast Royal Academy and furthered his studies at Queen’s University Belfast, where he successfully obtained a degree in Dentistry in 1981.

After completing his education, Keith embarked on a journey with the Royal Army Dental Corps, serving in various locations including Germany and Cyprus, concluding his military service in Benbecula in the Outer Hebrides.

In 1987, Keith decided to make Ayr his home and established himself as a dedicated family dentist at the Alloway Place practice, a role he passionately pursued until his retirement in 2016. Presently, he continues to be actively engaged in part-time employment at Robbie’s Drams, a renowned whisky shop located in Ayr.

Throughout his life, Keith has held a deep-seated fascination for Scottish and Irish folk music. His friendship with Bruce Kennedy, a fellow enthusiast from Tarbolton, solidified this passion, leading them to collaborate in performing the timeless songs of Robert Burns at Burns suppers across Ayrshire, beginning in 2003.

It was Bruce’s connection to the village of Tarbolton and his affiliation with the Bachelors’ Club that afforded Keith the esteemed opportunity to perform at this prestigious venue. Keith has always regarded it as a profound honour and privilege to share his musical talents at the Bachelors’ Club, a cherished place where his love for performing these songs has thrived and persevered over the years.
